Just realised I hadnt posted this, haha
I did write it on the 5th July... oops!
As many of my friends know, I am an artist. I also love many other artists work that I happen to find along my travels on Facebook etc.
So not in any particular order, I have found some special ones in the last couple of days that I would love to share.
Firstly, IRIS GRACE! This little darling will be famous and a name in history if she wants to be. This absolutely awe inspiring young girl that is being shared around facebook at the moment! She is a cute little 3 year old who happens to also be Autistic. She cannot communicate verbally, but has taken to a paint brush like a Master! Her work is so beautiful, and I ask that you go see her website
www.IrisGracePaintings.com
She can also be found on Facebook, or should say her devoted mothers hard work page can be found, and her artwork is for sale to raise funds for Autism Awareness and for her own medical help.
Her Facebook page is here.

JOHN PITRE

A surrealist fantasy artist. I really love his work too, it would be similar to what I would do if I was able to do it of course :-)

http://nosypepper.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/wallet-tutorials.html

Its day 3, a bit better than yesterday, that was a shocker!
Cant type a lot, so awkward, only using one hand is really hard and painful, so wont be doing much this month.
Very draining...

Gorgeous little crocheted baby Owls!
http://thewhoot.com.au/media/slider/crocheted-baby-owls
Look at these little darlings!
Yes I want to make them and I want to do it now! LOL
But it has to wait as my hand op is on Tuesday, and crochet isnt really a one handed thing. So it will have to wait until it heals.
Look forward to it so much though!

Its July Already!
Well, that half a year went way too fast!
Im struggling to type at the moment, with my arthritis in both hands playing up and carpal tunnel sending pains down my arms as well, it wont be a long post.
Im having my left hand carpal tunnel operation done in 5 days, so hopefully my writing will be able to get back up to speed in about a month, I really hope so!
I have been wanting to get back into regular writing for a while, but its hard to do when I then struggle to ignore the pain. The aching now is almost too much to bear already, so of course my book writing isnt being touched at all lately. Hard to get into at all. I dont speak clearly enough for those voice activitated programs either, so no that wont work for a book. It just had to go on hold for a while.
I will be back into it soon enough, Im sure!
Hopefully I can get on to it nice and fast after the operation is over! Yipppeeeee!
Ok, no sparkle here today, my get up and go, got up and left a few weeks ago really, and its stayed hiding. So Im off for a pre lunchtime nap now, so hopefully I dont sleep until dinner time like I did yesterday!
I will be back when I can.....

Busy Busy as a Bee!
Ive been spending the last few days hopping from one thing to another and trying not to do a million things at once. It seems I just cant help myself though.
I keep going off and looking at other blogs, it seems there are so many of us clever girls out there and Im so glad that there are others that waffle on and on, and love to share their ideas around. :-)
So I have found some really cute ideas, and I will be sharing them soon, but would prefer to try some of them first before sharing them, especially since there is only a couple of weeks before I have my Carpal Tunnel operation done, and then I wont be able to do any craft things for a few weeks, so I must make sure I get lots done now. I also will need to get a few birthday cards done in this next week or two as there are 4 birthdays in July in our family.
So thats all for now, I have to keep doing this secret other thing Im doing for now, and cant share it yet or I will have to chop you up and flush you down the toilet or something like that... heehehehehee
Have a great day!

Welcome Back To Me!
Well, I am pleased to see this Blog is still here since I have neglected it for ummmm *cough cough* a little while. I think roughly 4 years, which is too long in my personal opinion; but I have been in a different space for a while, which is a good enough reason. We all need to step back and question ourselves sometimes.
I will be changing the title up there from Julies Scrapping Place, to Julies Crafting Space, or something like that.... I am open to suggestions, as long as you aren't nasty, feel free to comment. hehehehe
As some of my friends know, my illness took over for a little while, we moved house and I lost so many of my craft things that seem to have been eaten up by the massive shed we have here; and I'm not able to go through it and find things without help - and I do mean major help. I have surrounded myself with so many different things to do though now, that I have become overwhelmed by it all at times. My creative energy just sits and looks at things planning what would be nice to do, and never seems to get there! So I have decided to make myself become accountable for what I am wanting to do. Not to anyone in particular, just accountable to myself really, and my Blog.
This means, I will put my ideas here, and make sure I do them!
In the last few years I also started beading, and I do enjoy that very much, so much that it has taken over from my scrapbooking in the last few years. An assortment of gorgeous papers sit forlorn and forgotten in their own cupboard, only being touched when I want to make a birthday card. Don't get me wrong, I have made many of these cards, (will put some photos up when I work out how to make those little category thingies) and I cannot tell myself off for being slow when I struggle to walk back to the cupboards if and when I've forgotten something now can I?
The hard part is, Im fighting with accepting and sharing my life with a few health issues that threaten my desire to exist sometimes. (A bit melodramatic, I know...) But for anyone who has been there or is there, its really quite true; yes we can and do feel like that!
Amongst other things, I have chronic fibromyalgia; which literally makes me feel like I've been hit by a bus a lot of the time, often for days and weeks at a time; similar to having a bad case of the flu for the past few years. I am unfortunately not one of the lucky ones that can still work with it either, some days I struggle to do the most basic of things, housework is next to impossible and most things are done from sitting position. That on top of chronic arthritis in most of my body and DDD in most of my spine, (basically my discs are degenerating and my back is roughly 30 years older than I am) and a lower back that screams at me with pinched nerves running up and down my legs and a big cannonball hitting the centre of my back if I dare to stand up or walk (even aided with a walking frame) for more than a few minutes at a time! Then throw in chronic fatigue which means I can sleep for a few days in a row; but I still have to keep getting up for medications, food and insulin as I'm also diabetic - just to complicate things even more. I'm sure there is more, (in fact I know there is, but we don't want this turning into a dull, boring, negative post), so I am leaving it there as I'm sure you get the picture! ;-)
So, from here I plan to start focussing more on one or two things at a time and actually finishing things! Im sick of having so many things on the go that I cant decide which to do, it makes me look and feel like even more of a hoarder than I am, and everything ends up being not completed. That is partly what gets so overwhelming you know, too many things started and not finished, so I need to box some up in an organised manner so I can find them easily when I want to go back to them - we all need to do it sometime, I'm sure.
I now solemnly promise to myself that I WILL get things done, cos the kids wont appreciate having to sort out my beads if I die, will they, especially since they are boys.... hahaha. Aaah but what fun it would be to watch those poor tormented boys sorting it out if it happens hey, hahahaha! No, they will just more likely throw it all away, hopefully they would think to at least donate, not throw though, not realising there is most likely a few thousand dollars there. So I must do it, sort, use, share and sell off what I don't want or what is in excess. Yes, that sounds like a good plan of action to me. Besides, if I sell some of the excess off nice and cheap, I will have more money to spend on more bits and pieces.... ohhhhh, now THAT dangles a carrot of temptation in front of me doesn't it.
Actually I do have a good plan of action going with doing just that sharing, sorting etc, its a Facebook page that is not quite ready for publication, so I will share it with you shortly. But for now, I want to share this awesome Blog I have found in my travels... She is the inspiration that reminded me to start waffling on my Blog again, honestly she is, so a big Thankyou to you Karen. :-)
A true inspiration for lots of us, and I've sat many an hour and just read, giggled and read more of her posts. I hope you enjoy her too!
That is it for now, and I'm sure I will be back in a few days!
Love and hugssss

Its Autumn finally!
A big hello to my wonderful scrapping/carding friends. It has been a while since I have been here and left a post.
I haven't been well again, but as many of us know, scrapbooking is wonderful therapy, especially as it helps me to block my mind from some of the pain, so I have still been doing some of that when I have been able to.
There has been so much going on around here, I have had many days just disappear while I played with photoshop. I have also nearly finished rearranging my scrapping area, and its still a bit of a mess, but its getting there!
Now that Autumn is here, I am hoping along with many others that the weather will cool down quite a bit. I am an Autumn person, not a Summer. LOL
Anyway, I have a few finished pages to show you, so here they are...
This is my second ever digi layout.
Its my darling granddaughter at her 3rd birthday party last December.
She adored her new baby I gave her, and carried it around for most of the party.
She knows how to make nanna happy doesnt she LOL
It seems to be taking an awful long time to upload, perhaps I should have shrunk it a bit? LOL
Ah well, I know for next time, keep something else to do while you are uploading big files or shrink them ROFL silly me......
This next one is a challenge for Ready Set Scrap.
It is a Negative space challenge by Janine from the RSS Design Team.
I absolutely love this, it would be my amongst my favourite of my own pages now.
It is my darling grandchildren, (my most photographed models LOL)
I used natural cardstocks with flecks of other shades in them, but it isnt noticeable.
The flowers are mainly Primas, along with 2 chipboard flowers and 2 chipboard hearts.
I had a lot of fun doing this, and it fell together very quickly.
The next one is also a challenge for Ready Set Scrap.
It is a Quote challenge by Shell from the RSS Design Team.
The quote being - So Happy Are The Hearts That Love You.
I enjoyed this once I finally worked out which owl to use LOL as we had to add an owl, and focus on handcutting. So I played for about a week making up lots of owl designs, finally settling on the one I used. I may use the others eventually though, why waste a weeks designing? I handcut the tree too, and shaded it and the moon with chalk.
The next one is another challenge for Ready Set Scrap.
It is a Number challenge by Nat from the RSS Design Team.
We had to use 1 large photo, 2 circles, 3 PPs 4 staples, 5 different flowers, 6 inch title, 7 crosses and 8 buttons. I sewed most of it on too, just to challenge myself with something different.
I will probably add more flowers myself, as it needs more I believe.
The last one is also a challenge for Ready Set Scrap.
It is a Colour challenge by Tracey from the RSS Design Team.
We had to do a double layout, 2 photos, 2 words in the title, 2 sentences in the journalling and main colours of red, green and pink.
I chose to use ultra bright colouring and I am very happy with the end result, except the title is a bit unclear in the photo. It says Heaven Sent.
Thanks for looking, and if you got this far, sorry it was such a long one LOL No Im not really sorry, I just said that to be polite.... hehe
I am trying to get back into a blogging habit, so wish me luck, and hope to see you again soon!
lots a love,
me
